John, here’s a sentence I never thought I’d be able to say to you: Last night, I was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert!
Colbert asked me what Republicans are fighting about, and why Democrats didn’t swoop in to save Kevin McCarthy’s job.
Obviously, I kept it real. I’ll tell you what I told Colbert:
“Republicans need a lot more than me to fix the chaos in their own party. We’ve been fighting to save food stamps, Medicaid, Medicare this entire year, as Republicans have tried to cut them – so I’m just letting them pull themselves up by their bootstraps.”
John – far-right Republicans want to control the entirety of Congress. They’re causing all of this dysfunction because of their own egotistical power struggle, and everyday folks are paying the price of that.
Meanwhile, Democrats stand united, pushing for real progress for the American people. I’m proud to be part of that – and know how important it is that I stay here in this fight.
So we’re going to keep up the work while Republicans dig themselves into a bigger hole. But to keep our movement pushing forward, I need grassroots power on my side.
If just 12 more donors from your city step up, we can crush our daily fundraising goal and continue to fight for the people. Can you rush $27 before midnight? >>
P.S. – If you want to see the interview from last night, here’s the link! >>
Thank you,
Maxwell Frost
