Hi John,

I served in the U.S. Navy and deployed overseas multiple times, including a tour of duty with U.S. Army Civil Affairs in Iraq. Today, I have the honor of serving on the Armed Services Committee and the Veterans Affairs Committee in Congress. 

I know firsthand what it means to put service before self. To this day, I still live by the motto drilled into us in the Navy: Ship, shipmate, self.

In Congress, I've watched the Republican Party put politics ahead of country too many times to count.

I've seen Republicans defend cuts to hard-earned benefits for our veterans, hold up critical military nominations – leaving leadership positions in the Pentagon empty, and put the democracy we've fought to protect in danger. 

Republicans defend their own interests at the expense of hard-working Americans, veterans, and the safety of our families. We cannot let them get away with continuing to prioritize party politics over our citizens and values. 

I'm running for reelection to continue serving my country and fighting for voters in Western PA. Will you join me in my campaign to defend the Common Good and stand up against right-wing extremists who are putting our country in danger?
