Featured Funding OpportunitiesNew York State Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Investment Program (NICIP)Last week, Governor Hochul announced that a minimum of $60 million in capital grant funding will be available to nonprofit human services organizations through the NICIP to support the delivery of critical services to New Yorkers. Eligible nonprofit organizations that provide direct programs and services to New Yorkers may receive grants ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 for the completion of small- and large-scale construction projects.The NICIP opportunity will utilize a first come, first served process for this competitive grant program. Applications can be submitted at any point from December 1, 2023 through January 12, 2024. Applications will be scored as they are received and scoring the applications will begin as early as December 2, 2023. An FAQ can be found HERE.2023 Thriving Communities Program (TCP)The TCP provides intensive technical assistance to under-resourced and disadvantaged communities to help them identify, develop, and deliver transportation and community revitalization opportunities.The U.S. Department of Transportation invites Letters of Interest (LOIs) from eligible applicants interested in receiving technical assistance, planning, and capacity building support from the TCP Capacity Builders to help them compete for federal aid and deliver quality infrastructure projects that enable their communities and neighborhoods to thrive. Webinars for the FY 2023 Thriving Communities Program.LOIs must be submitted via webform by 4:59 p.m. ET on November 15, 2023. 2024 Brownfields Multipurpose, Assessment, and Cleanup (MARC) GrantEPA’s Brownfields Program provides grants and technical assistance to communities, states, tribes and others to assess, safely clean up and sustainably reuse contaminated properties.EPA has pre-recorded videos to provide an overview of the FY 2024 grants submission process and Narrative Information Sheet and threshold requirements.The application submission deadline is November 13, 2023. Small Business ResourcesNew York Small Business Development Center (NYSBDC)The NYSBDC provides small business owners and entrepreneurs in New York with the highest quality, confidential business counseling, training, and business research at no cost.The Albany Small Business Development Center serves small businesses in the Capital Region.
