WHO: Gov. Jim Justice, Transportation Secretary Jimmy Wriston, West Virginia Parkways Authority Executive Director Jeff Miller, Victoria Yeager, wife of the late Brig. Gen. Chuck Yeager.

WHAT: Gov. Justice will celebrate the completion of the new blue and gold paint scheme on the Charles "Chuck" Yeager Bridge on the West Virginia Turnpike near Charleston and commemorate the 76th anniversary of Yeager’s historic flight which broke the sound barrier on October 14, 1947.

The ceremony will include a flyover by a World War II-era P-51 Mustang fighter aircraft, the type Yeager flew during his time in the U.S. Army Air Force during the war.

WHEN: Friday, October 13, 2023, at 12:30 p.m.
