Once again, Florida Republicans are playing politics with our rights, our lives, and our futures -- and it’s clear they will stop at nothing to undermine the will of the voters.
In case you missed it, yesterday Republican Attorney General Ashley Moody had the audacity to file a brief with the Florida Supreme Court challenging the constitutional amendment to expand abortion rights [[link removed]] . As if it wasn't enough for Florida Republicans to take away our reproductive rights, now they want to take away our right to amend the constitution. They're running scared because Floridians overwhelmingly support the right to make our own reproductive healthcare decisions, without interference from politicians, and they’re on the losing side of this issue.
This is why elections matter . Passing the abortion amendment is only part of the solution. We need leaders who will uphold the will of the voters and ensure abortion is enshrined in our constitution. That’s where you come in. We need your help to ensure we have the resources to recruit, train, and support a record number of Democratic pro-choice women who will make protecting our reproductive freedom their top priority.
