Hi John,

I hope you had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend. Although many people think of Labor Day as a historical triumph of socialist policies, today, Labor Day is as much a part of the free market as any other cultural celebration, proving that the best economic system endures.

In addition to the holiday, this past weekend was cause for another celebration at FEE—our President Emeritus, Lawrence “Larry” Reed’s 15th anniversary with FEE.

On September 1, 2008, Larry became President of FEE, bringing his extensive knowledge of free markets and passion for liberty to thousands of people through his transformative leadership. In 2019, Larry was named President Emeritus, Humphreys Family Senior Fellow, and Ron Manners Global Ambassador for Liberty.

We are honored to work with a longtime warrior for liberty and shining example of the endurance of free market principles.
