DC-area optometrists and pharmacists with Kaiser Permanente went on strike last week as part of a nationwide effort for better pay and safer staffing levels. The 24-hour strike continued through Thursday as Kaiser executives and frontline healthcare workers in the DC area remain in negotiations.
