“This is disgusting,” Adam DiSabato told the Ohio State Legislature in February 2020. “Jim Jordan called me crying—CRYING—groveling on the Fourth of July, begging me to go against my brother. BEGGING ME. Crying for a half hour. That’s the kind of coverup that’s going on there.”

DiSabato, a former wrestling captain at OSU, was fighting to make sure that survivors of sexual abuse at OSU saw their day in court. Jim Jordan was a wrestling coach at the time thousands of athletes reported they were sexually abused and assaulted by a team doctor—and many allege that Jordan routinely swept their concerns under the rug and may have even knowingly covered up these heinous crimes.

And now, House Republicans want to pretend like none of this ever happened. We knew they were boldfaced HYPOCRITES, but Jordan and his right wing backers have amped up the gaslighting and the lies to whitewash all of the terrible things about him that would make him unacceptable as Speaker of the House.

Jordan shouldn’t even be in Congress at all, much less being considered for Speaker—placed second in line for presidential succession and granted top secret access to sensitive national security matters.

In his heartbreaking testimony, DiSabato continued: “I’ve got a lot of other stuff here—emails that were taken out of my mailbox…that’s a crime. You people have the power to do something.”
