Tell the US Senate:
The Senate should NOT confirm someone to oversee Medicare’s finances who is actively playing a role in undermining Medicare’s finances with so-called “Advantage” plans as a PAID member of a private insurance company's board to the tune of $100,000!

John,
Would you let a fox guard your henhouse?
If the answer’s no, why would you let someone who personally profits from privatized Medicare plans serve on Medicare’s Board of Trustees?
Republican nominee for the Medicare Board of Trustees Demetrios Kouzoukas receives more than $100,000 in compensation for his role on the board of Clover Health, a corporation that receives a ‘substantial portion’ of its total revenue from private, for-profit Medicare Advantage plans.
We’re in a battle for the future of Medicare―and it’s one that we must win.
Sign today to tell the Senate NOT to confirm a Medicare privatizer to oversee the system’s finances!
Senator Elizabeth Warren pointed out this massive conflict of interest at Kouzoukas’s confirmation hearing, saying:1
A big factor influencing Medicare solvency today is the growth of Medicare Advantage—a program that allows for-profit insurance companies to sell Medicare coverage that experts say is on target this year to overcharge the government by $75 billion. In other words, Medicare Advantage has a lot to do with threatening the solvency of Medicare. Not a single other trustee has ever received compensation from an insurance company while acting as a Medicare trustee.
Kouzoukas would not commit to stepping down from the Clover board if he’s confirmed by the Senate. So the Senate MUST reject his nomination.
Add your name: No Medicare privatizers on the Medicare Board of Trustees!
Thank you,
