Texas is facing a Governor and Legislature who are plotting to absolutely ruin public education. Their plan? Holding hostage long-overdue teacher raises in exchange for private and religious schools claiming a huge percentage of our public education budget. 

We stand with teachers and parents and communities across the state in opposing school vouchers. And in particular, we stand in opposition to Texas Rep. Brad Buckley, the Republican Chair of the Education Committee whose family name is plastered on public school facilities while he simultaneously plots to ruin public education as we know it and destroys the legacy of public education his family was known for.
