John—Mike Lawler’s been talking a lot lately, but as usual it’s nothing but air.

He’s been on every news station that will have him, calling members of his own party “lunatics” for the chaos they’ve created that nearly shut down our government and that succeeded in firing Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House.

If extremists in the GOP are “lunatics,” we have one question: What do you call someone who deliberately gives the lunatics their power? The answer: Mike Lawler.

While Mike Lawler goes around publicly distancing himself from extreme MAGA Republicans like Matt Gaetz, behind the scenes he’s taking money from them, voting lock-step with them, and giving them the majority:

Just look at what he does:

-Buddies up and takes gobs of money from far right-winger Jim Jordan and seedy MAGA PACs
-Voted for a devastating 30% reduction in federal spending that would have caused 250,000 children to lose access to child care and 3.2 million children access to nutrition assistance
-Voted to defund public education, which could have led to the loss of 145,000 teachers and staff
-Voted for Kevin McCarthy 15 times knowing full well he would be in the pockets of the most extreme members of Congress, including Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and Lauren Boebert
-Fanned the flames of a baseless impeachment inquiry by praising his buddy Jim Jordan’s investigation that only empowered extremists to bring our country even closer to a government shutdown
