Overthrowing the House speaker at a time of global unrest seems like a particularly bad idea now that the Middle East is imploding. And while that decision by eight people to exact revenge on Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) does leave the world vulnerable, not everything conservatives have done is making the situation in Israel worse - including Senator Tommy Tuberville's (R-Ala.) hold on military promotions. |

And yes, 9/11 is a fair comparison, as news from the Middle East continues to provide details of the massive early-morning attack Hamas terrorists launched that Sabbath morning. Their targets included numerous towns, villages, and kibbutzim in the south of Israel. The vicious invaders murdered, raped, kidnapped, beheaded, and tortured innumerable Israelis. |

| As violent conflict continues between Israel and Palestine-based Hamas, conservatives in the U.S. are warning that open-borders policies and the leftist weaponization of defense and law enforcement institutions are leaving America vulnerable to similar attacks. In an interview on Monday, former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) cautioned, "We should wake up ourselves. We could have the same thing happen next week to us." |

| Last month, Neeli Bendapudi, president of Pennsylvania State University, addressed the student body in a public video on free speech. "Without the First Amendment," she said, "your access to information would be threatened." She detailed how the university is "bound by the First Amendment," which allows "bigots" to occasionally speak on campus. Nonetheless, she made it very clear: "[R]estricting the speech of one group or individual jeopardizes everyone's rights." Four weeks later, she canceled an on-campus event featuring Riley Gaines. So much for free speech. |
