Today, Raleigh Republicans used their ill-gotten, one-seat supermajority to override Governor Cooper’s veto and push through dangerous anti-democracy legislation.

Their new laws will make it harder for some North Carolinians to vote.

Radical NC lawmakers, advised by Donald Trump’s election-denying pal Cleta Mitchell, crafted rules that are directly targeted at voters who the GOP believes will choose Democratic candidates.

This attack on our democracy has nothing to do with election security and everything to do with keeping and gaining power.

If you’re a young person, Republicans really don’t want you to vote.

They’ve done their research and they know when and how you vote, and they know you aren’t as likely to vote for them. They know your input can change the outcome of elections. So they’re making it harder for you to vote, hoping you won’t bother.
