Team,
The members of the Writers Guild of America ratified a new contract after nearly five months on strike.
This contract is proof that when we stand together, we can win real victories for working people. It includes better pay, stronger protections, and more security for writers. Plus, it sets a powerful example for workers across the country.
Even so, the fight for economic justice is never over. Over 150,000 members of SAG-AFTRA are still on strike, and in the Midwest, nearly as many autoworkers are striking. From coast to coast, working people are standing up and demanding living wages, good healthcare, and the ability to retire with dignity.
Friend, I was proud to support the WGA strike from the very beginning, and I stand in solidarity with workers everywhere. In the richest country in the world, we can afford to build a good life for everyone.
Thank you for being part of this movement, friend. I'm proud to be in this fight with you.
