Muni Quick Build, Tuesday March 10 Come learn about the Muni Quick Build process that was just approved: where and how it will be implemented, and how it can transform our streets to put transit, and riders, first! Quick Build is a way to upgrade streets to make Muni move more quickly, and make things safer and more accessible for riders. Instead of forcing simple fixes to wade through the bureaucracy of full project approval, it takes those plans straight to the City Engineer and out to the streets. This can save months, even years, on delivering what most people would consider an easy fix. Reserve your spot now! Muni Quick Build Tuesday, March 10, 2020 6:30-8:00 PM 795 Folsom St., 1st Floor | |
Muni Budget Open House - Increase Service Not Fares Too many people are struggling just to get by in San Francisco, and they depend on transit in order to keep getting by. Fares have been increased over the past few years, yet fare revenue has been dropping. If public transit is a public service we value, if we have a climate emergency and a city goal to increase ridership, we need to invest in transit, not over-burden riders. Come to the SFMTA's open house to learn more about what's in the budget, what SFMTA's priorities are, and let them know what you want to see. California Street Safety Project California Street needs a road diet. Between Arguello Boulevard and Park Presidio Boulevard there have been 35 transit collisions have 37 injury-causing car accidents in the past five years. The road diet will reconfigure four lanes of traffic to three, including a center turn lane. This change will reduce side-swipe collisions, speed up Muni and improve safety. Join Supervisor Fewer and SFMTA staff to hear about next steps, and be sure to let folks know you support this commonsense California Street Safety Project.
