In case you missed it, I wrote an op-ed published in MSNBC this weekend calling on moderate Republicans to look inward at their party’s dysfunction.

The hypocrisy shown by the Republican Party in the aftermath of Kevin McCarthy losing the speakership is not surprising, but still incredibly disappointing. Instead of taking stock of their party’s dysfunction and extremism, “moderate” Republicans are pointing fingers at Democrats for their own chaos.

Regardless of party, we as members of Congress must stand for democratic principles. When my colleagues across the aisle continue to cover for a disgraced ex-president, they’re actively threatening our democracy as we know it.

I won’t stop calling out Republican hypocrisy and extremism — our democracy depends on it. But in order to keep it up, I depend on supporters like you to fuel my re-election campaign so I can stay in Congress fighting for our values. Will you chip in now to fuel this fight?
