Dear John, I promised to give you updates on the competitive races in the Senate. You should know that our candidates are working hard and doing everything possible to reach voters. Governor Youngkin raised $4M dollars in just 48 hours last week. This brings his campaign kitty to more than $11M dollars. |
Mega donors are courting Youngkin in the hope that he will run for national office. But, rest assured, Youngkin’s star power will be substantially diminished if we keep the Senate in Democratic hands and grow our majority. Virginia Democrats must send a message to the nation and that message must be: “Women’s rights matter and government imposed abortion bans do not belong between a woman and her doctor."
Virginia Democrats must also stand up and say: “We want America’s full history taught, teachers need better pay and more respect, and transgender youth deserve our support.”
But these messages can only be delivered at the ballot box and mobilizing voters is expensive. Donate here to send this message loudly and clearly.
It is heartening to hear that when voters hear our messages, they agree with us and appreciate the fact that candidates are personally reaching out. Yet, too many voters are unaware that an election is upon us. In this off-off year election, voter turnout is less than half of the turnout in a presidential year. Yet, all local offices are on the ballot, including important seats on local school boards. Now is the time to donate whatever you can to help with voter outreach. All donations will go to Democratic candidates in must win races.
Thank you, in advance, for your generosity. It is an honor and privilege to represent you in Richmond. |
