We need your help to fly Becky -- a Progressive Change supporter -- to the White House to talk with the President of the United States at an event this week!
Becky Chong is an Oregon mom who told us her story about trying to take her two girls to visit their grandpa for the first time since the height of COVID. They got slammed with surprise junk fees at a major hotel chain -- of course, right at the end of the purchase. They also had to cancel a rare family vacation because the fees were too high.
We shared Becky’s story with the White House, and they want her to come to Washington DC this week to tell her story to the President and media at a big public event!

Remember that when we ask you to share your story with us in the future (or to take our surveys), we are sharing the results with lawmakers and media!
This summer, the Associated Press reported: "More than a dozen House Democrats around the country plan to hold events organized with help from the Progressive Change Institute to promote the administration’s effort to curb junk fees. Events have already happened in suburban Detroit, Philadelphia, central New Jersey and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Similar efforts are planned in coming weeks in Pittsburgh, New York and Las Vegas, as well as in Wisconsin, Ohio and North Carolina."
We recruited people with stories to speak at these events -- along with partners like Consumers Union, MoveOn, Color Of Change, American Economic Liberties Project, Americans for Financial Reform, and More Perfect Union.
Our strategy worked. Our first event in Detroit was covered by local ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and print media. We also got big results in Pittsburgh and other locations.
And, donate to our work to make corporate greed a big issue in the election.
