Hey John, I'm at the airport heading back to DC and want to touch base. There's so much going on around the world right now, and people are rightly fed up with Washington’s inability to function.

We need to protect our national interests abroad. We need to fund the government. But without a Speaker, we can’t get anything done. 

I want you to know that there are still public servants in Congress who are actually doing their jobs and looking out for your interests. There’s more of us than you may think.

We all know the people on the extreme right aren’t the ones with the answers. Solutions will come from coming together and finding bipartisan solutions.

I know it’s exhausting. There’s so much noise. But I remain hopeful for progress as the week unfolds.
