As the grandchild of two World War II veterans and member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Nikki is laser-focused on ensuring veterans have access to the benefits they’ve earned and deserve after putting their lives on the line for our country.

That’s why she recently introduced the Veterans in STEM Expansion Act, legislation that will help veterans overcome financial obstacles and find good-paying jobs in the science, health care, and technology fields.

Women returning home from service experience even higher unemployment rates than their male counterparts, so Congress must pass this legislation to address this disparity and provide all veterans with increased opportunities for financial stability.

But we can’t stop there. The Veterans in STEM Expansion Act would make a huge difference, but Nikki is determined to make even more progress for veterans by expanding access to healthcare, securing quality and safe housing choices, and more.
