“Never give in. Never, never, never — in nothing great or small, large or petty — never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
Those are the words of Prime Minister Winston Churchill in October 1941.
But they are also the clear guiding principles of one of the most impressive U.S. Senate candidates running for office today. And I am proud to give him my strongest endorsement.
His name is Hung Cao. He and his parents fled Vietnam just before the fall of Saigon. They escaped the tyranny and oppressive control of a government which brazenly arrested anyone with whom they disagreed.
Safe on America’s shores, Hung Cao received the gift of freedom and a new life with boundless opportunities. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy, earned his master’s degree in physics and fellowships at MIT and Harvard. A former Navy Captain, Hung Cao served with distinction for 25 years as a Special Operations Officer in Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia.
His impressive non-combat assignments include the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Pentagon, where he balanced the Navy’s $140 billion budget.
Today, Hung Cao is without a doubt one of the most talented, accomplished, brave, and frankly brilliant candidates I’ve met in many, many years. And he’s also one of the most prepared for the battle facing America right now.
You see, because Hung Cao has tasted firsthand the bitterness of oppressive control and the sweetness of liberty, he’s determined like none other to fight back against the tyranny that is threatening to destroy America. And he’s watching, just like you and me, as government tyranny spreads its poison across this land.
