Dear John,
This weekend Israel was attacked by Hamas forces, who have killed and abducted innocent Israeli civilians.
As a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, I strongly condemn the ongoing terrorist attack that has killed innocent civilians across Israel.
As my office continues to closely monitor the situation in Israel, we wanted to share resources for Americans abroad and those in need of assistance:
U.S. Department of State Crisis Intake: Call 1-833-890-9595 or 1-606-641-0131 or visit: cacms.state.gov/s/crisis-intake

In June, I had the opportunity to visit southern Israel and was moved by the hospitality and resilience of the people who are now under violent attack. I also had the chance to see the northern border where Israel faces an additional threat from Hezbollah.
It is more important than ever that the United States stands with Israel and her right to defend her sovereignty.
If you or anyone you know is in need of assistance, please know that my office is monitoring the situation around the clock and stands ready to help. For assistance, please contact us at Bera.House.Gov or call (916) 635-0505.
