John,
Eric’s been making news ([link removed]) and taking his message across the state - get caught up quickly below!
Water, Small Towns, & LEAP
Last week, Eric raised concerns about fairness to local communities - and pressed for greater transparency - around the state’s multi-billion dollar LEAP district.
* Background: The IEDC has controversially proposed pumping “hundreds of millions of gallons” ([link removed]) of water daily from Lafayette to the site.
Eric believes Hoosiers deserve absolute transparency for a project this size - and he’s been calling for answers:
* Capital Chronicle: Indiana gubernatorial candidate Eric Doden speaks out against IEDC’s LEAP district pipeline plan ([link removed])
* WTHR: 'Deeply concerning': Former IEDC president criticizes his former agency for LEAP pipeline project ([link removed])
* WISH: Who owns the water? Indiana resource battle coming to a boil ([link removed])
This is about what’s best for Hoosiers. As Eric said, “There should be a spirit of transparency. It’s going to be a debate and a topic that needs to be discussed.”
