Wow, John. The response to our new EC Access Network has been great! Over 170 applications so far. But we have 500 (yes, five hundred - five, zero, zero) open spots, so if you're a college student who wants to give out emergency contraception on campus to students who need it (now or in the future), make sure you apply here.
If you're not a student, or you're already in the long-running EC4EC program who we're partnering with, then check out our new IG post here and throw it into your stories with a link to the application.
The EC Access Network is a partnership with Emergency Contraception for Every Campus (EC4EC), a project of the American Society for Emergency Contraception. EC4EC has pioneered peer-to-peer EC distribution on college campuses for years, and we’re thrilled they are working with us to bring their groundbreaking program to our large network of youth activists.
College students who apply by SUNDAY could be one of 500 students we select to receive:
- Tons of EC tablets to distribute to your fellow students
- Training on EC distribution from the experts at EC4EC
- Opportunities to join further training from Advocates for Youth on how to launch and win campaigns for greater sexual health and reproductive rights on campus
Six different EC brands have donated over 130,000 EC pills to this effort - so yeah, we've got a lot to give out!
Thanks so much for applying or spreading the word about the application,
Geoff Corey
