When we win, we're going to hit the ground running and take the country back.

Washington Examiner (10/9/23) reports: "In a sign of the respect they have for the Heritage Foundation, a virtual who’s who of conservative groups have partnered on the think tank’s efforts to create a government in waiting for the next Republican president to adopt and speedily replace President Joe Biden’s worst policies with right-of-center alternatives. Heritage tomorrow will announce its list of coalition partners, 75 groups that lead in their conservative lanes, from abortion to immigration and national security, to build a turnkey operation that the 2024 GOP nominee can adopt in the case of an election victory. The groups joining the advisory board include many associated with former President Donald Trump and others that have long been Washington establishments, such as the Center for Immigration Studies, the Family Research Council, and FreedomWorks. The endorsements are a key victory for Heritage and a rare sign of conservative unity in rallying around one vision for the next administration. Heritage calls the effort Project 2025, and it includes blueprints for every federal agency, even staff suggestions and policy papers."

"If electric vehicles were to overtake the internal combustion engine—which is as yet unclear—America should not accept replacing its current energy independence with a dependence on an EV supply chain controlled at various key points by China."

– Diana Furchtgott-Roth,
Heritage Foundation

Other than shoveling billions of the taxes we send to Washington into the coffers of big corporations, what has Big Green, Inc. been able to get through Congress? Simple answer - zilch, nada, nothing. So instead we get this regulatory garbage...

Real Clear Energy (10/9/23) column: "In recent comments to the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), 24 state attorneys general led by Iowa AG Breanna Bird warn that CEQ’s July 31 Proposed Rule to revise National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) implementing regulations would unlawfully 'turn an informational, procedural, outcome-neutral statute into a transformative tool to shape our economy and society to the Administration’s chosen policy goals.' Comments I submitted to CEQ make that same overarching point. The Proposed Rule is designed to advance the Biden administration’s 'whole-of-government approach to the climate crisis.' Like the AGs, I politely advised CEQ to cease and desist. NEPA, enacted on January 1, 1970, requires federal agencies to take a “hard look” at the potential environmental consequences of proposed actions, such as granting permits to build highways, bridges, pipelines, airports, dams, and other critical infrastructure. However, NEPA does not require permitting agencies to subordinate economic to environmental considerations. Nor does it require agencies to prioritize climate change mitigation. Indeed, the words 'climate,' 'change,' 'global,' 'warming,' 'greenhouse,' and 'carbon' occur nowhere in the Act."

I'm not sure which is a bigger problem for our country:  the climate agenda or Big Green, Inc.'s infiltration of the "free" press.

The trials and tribulations of the Middle East would be easier to handle if our government wasn't trying to shut down our domestic oil and gas industry.

CNBC (10/8/23) reports: "Oil prices jumped more than 4% on Monday as the Israel-Hamas conflict extended into its third day following a surprise attack on Israel by Palestinian militants Hamas. Global benchmark Brent settled 4.2% higher at $88.15 a barrel, while the U.S. West Texas Intermediate rose 4.3% to $86.38 per barrel. It was the biggest one-day gain for both benchmarks since April 3. At dawn on Saturday during a major Jewish holiday, Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a multi-pronged infiltration into Israel — by land, sea and air using paragliders. The attack came hours after thousands of rockets were sent from Gaza into Israel. At the time of publication, at least 700 Israelis have reportedly been killed, according to NBC News. The Palestinian Health Ministry, meanwhile, has recorded 313 deaths so far."
