Dear Friends,
I made many commitments to you this time last year. You took a stand with me and voted for a new direction for Tarrant County. You and I believe in a County that loves America, supports families, fully funds law enforcement, encourages job growth, and cuts taxes and wasteful spending.
Here are a few changes my office has championed since January 1 of this year:
Property Tax Relief
- Passed a County budget that spends $8.1 million less than last year
- Slashed County and JPS Property Tax Rates on all property by 13.17%, adopting rates below “No-New-Revenue” - ACTUAL TAX CUTS!

Adopted 10% Homestead Exemptions for Tarrant County and JPS
- All three actions above are historic firsts for Tarrant County
- Instituted a conservative, cost-conscious culture at the County
Public Safety
- Purchased a Tactical Armored Vehicle for the Sheriff’s Office
- Designated AARPA funds for the purchase of a Law Enforcement Training Academy
- Voted for hiring incentives to strengthen recruitment in Sheriff's Office
- Permanently shut down Temptations night club, a haven for crime and mischief in Tarrant County
General Progress
- Eliminated mandatory Unconscious Bias training
- Rescinded the Covid-19 Emergency Declaration
- Helped create an Election Integrity Task Force

We are committed to keeping Tarrant County both fiscally conservative and a place that celebrates faith, families, and freedom.
