It was bad enough when the MAGA Republicans gleefully tossed Congress into chaos by ousting their own Speaker Rep. Kevin McCarthy as Speaker.
Now everyone’s favorite twice-impeached and four-times-indicted former president Donald Trump is throwing gasoline on the dumpster fire by endorsing one of his most loyal defenders and extremist poster child Jim Jordan as Speaker of the House.
Let’s be honest, Jim Jordan:
Is a rabid election denier and Trump apologist.
Leads the attacks on reproductive freedom even calling a 10-year-old rape victim a liar.
Shamelessly promotes the most ridiculous lies and “deep state” conspiracy theories.
Voted against investing billions of dollars in Ohio through the Bipartisan Infrustructure Law.
And that’s just the beginning. In fact, according to former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney, electing him to be Speaker would erase any belief that Republicans could be counted on to defend the Constitution.
This is bad, folks. It’s dangerous for Ohio, it’s dangerous for the country and it’s time we did something about it.
