Hello, Friend! Today is World Mental Health Day, an opportunity for us to spread knowledge, raise awareness, and drive action to promote and protect everyone’s mental health. Our 2023 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ Young People ([link removed]) highlights an urgent need for mental health support within the LGBTQ young people community:
* 67% of LGBTQ young people reported experiencing anxiety symptoms and 54% reported experiencing depression.
* Of the more than 28,000 LGBTQ young people surveyed, 81% want mental health care. Only 44% of those who sought mental health care could access it.

These figures tell the story of the challenges that LGBTQ young people face in their mental health journeys. We must all work together to ensure that every LGBTQ young person has access to the mental health care they need.
