Could the Community College of Allegheny County be free for students? 🤔

The Allegheny County executive holds influence over decisions like this one. This November, for the first time in over a decade, a new executive will ascend into power. While a former county executive candidate supported the idea of free CCAC tuition, neither of the remaining nominees — Sara Innamorato and Joe Rockey — have made promises ([link removed]) .

Also, some homeowners in the Hill District will be getting funding to conduct home repairs. Of the $7 million Greater Hill Neighborhood Development Fund, $465,000 is being made available for this effort ([link removed]) , yet of the 285 applicants, it is estimated as few as 22 will receive portions of the pot.
