In the aftermath of the mass shooting in Hanau Germany, ADL worked in partnership with extremism researchers at Berlin’s Amadeu Antonio Foundation to analyze the attacker’s 24-page manifesto and other online materials allegedly posted by him.
ADL endorsed a bipartisan House resolution on combating anti-Semitism in Europe (H. Res. 837) that was introduced by Chairman Bill Keating (D-MA) of the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia, Energy, and the Environment with extensive prior input from ADL.
ADL welcomed former UK Member of Parliament Luciana Berger for a discussion on the issue of anti-Semitism within the UK’s Labour Party.

; A bag of soap and anti-Semitic screeds that were left outside a Holocaust exhibition in Sweden; The publication of a UK textbook claiming Israel was a cause for the 9/11 terror attacks.
ADL welcomed a report by the South African Board of Deputies highlighting a decline in anti-Semitic incidents in 2019 across South Africa.
ADL’s Task Force on Middle East Minorities endorsed three pieces of bipartisan legislation designed to increase U.S. support to vulnerable minority groups: the Deferred Removal for Iraqi Nationals including Minorities Act (H.R. 2537), the Resolution Supporting Coptic Christians in Egypt (
H. Res. 49), and the Resolution Calling for the Global Repeal of Blasphemy, Heresy, and Apostasy Laws (H. Res. 512/S. Res. 458).

Florida: At the ADL 2020 Community Briefing at Boca West Country Club, attendees heard from Consul General of Mexico in Miami Jonathan Chait who asserted: “…Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed in 2018 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ADL in order to generate synergies with Mexico´s diplomatic offices to fight against all forms of hate, prejudice, discrimination, intolerance, and anti-Semitism. ADL has provided us with the leadership and tools to confront hate in all its forms and never lose sight of how love, respect, and understanding of what might be perceived as ‘the other’ can overpower hate.”

ADL Israel facilitated a workshop on current anti-Semitism to a group of TALI teachers - a network of schools which provide a pluralistic Jewish studies program to secular schools in Israel in advance of their visit to the US to learn about American Jewry

Seattle: Miri Cypers, Regional Director for ADL’s Pacific Northwest Region, presented alongside Dr. Roberto Dondisch, the former Consul General of Mexico to Seattle, at Latino Lobby Day for 400 advocates in the Washington State legislature. Miri and Dr. Dondisch presented on the rise of anti-Semitism and hate targeting minority communities, ADL’s partnership with the Mexican Consulate, and best practices for reporting hate crimes and advocacy around stronger laws.
