Dear Friends,
You may have seen some recent headlines about my primary opponent and his support for Republican candidates in the general election. I'm writing to you tonight to tell you what I believe in - and who I support
I began my campaign for the Senate because I truly believe in the things we cherish as Democrats - issues like gun violence prevention, abortion access, and fighting for working families like yours and mine. That's what I stood for in the primary and it's what I stand for now, as your Democratic nominee for SD-37.
I support Albert Vega in his race to become Springfield District Supervisor because he also shares those values. I support our Democratic School Board At-Large candidates - Ryan McElveen, Ilryong Moon and Kyle McDaniel - because they stand up for those values. I have been campaigning since the summer for Democrats up and down the ballot because I believe in what we're doing and I know how much it matters to people's lives.
It has never been more critical that we stand together and fight for the issues we care about. Republicans are determined to roll back our progress - they've promised to pass an abortion ban, roll back the rights of LGBTQ+ people, defund our public schools and undo all the work we've done to address gun violence. People are counting on us all over the Commonwealth to stand up and fight so that we can have the bright future we deserve.
