Hi John
With only four weeks left before Election Day, we are counting on you to protect the progress we’ve made in Loudoun County. In 2019, I was the first woman and first progressive prosecutor elected in Loudoun County. Today, my race for re-election is a top target of national right wing groups who want to replace progressive prosecutors like me. Prosecutors such as Fani Wills in Georgia and Letitia James in New York are examples of progressive prosecutors who believe in justice for all. They know that we will apply the rule of law to save our democracy and keep our communities safe.
Across the country progressive prosecutors are under attack because the work we are doing is working. We focus on solutions. In the past four years, safety is up and violent crime is down 31% in Loudoun County. We did it by focusing on the most dangerous crimes - domestic violence and sexual assault. We increased the support to survivors of these crimes. We increased our victim services advocacy team from 4 to 7, and tripled the number of prosecutors dedicated to domestic violence and sexual assault.
We are asking for your continuing support to keep us moving forward - we can’t allow the clock to be turned back on the important work we have done. I need your support today to ensure we have the resources we need to win on November 7. I’m asking for your investment of $25, $50 or whatever you can afford to ensure the gains we have made over the past four years aren’t lost in this election. [[link removed]]
