Did you know the average military spouse moves 8 to 12 times during a 20-year military career? This makes it hard to put down roots, and even harder to build a career, which is why military spouse employment was listed as the number one concern for troops and their families in the 2022 Blue Star Families’ Military Lifestyle Survey.

That’s why, in addition to providing service members across the globe with the comforts of home, moments of connection and more, the USO offers programs and services to help military spouses connect with others in their community and expand their professional skills and network.

But as a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of military supporters like you to carry out this critical work, and today, we’re asking for your help: Will you please make a patriotic contribution of $29 or more to support America’s troops and their families through every step of their military journey?

Military spouse Erika finds community and purpose through volunteering with the USO.

Your support will help military spouses like Erika, who quit her job to move to Naples, Italy, when her husband was stationed there. “I thought I would enjoy the time off, but I have found I need to feel productive and need to keep my mind moving. It really took a toll on my mental health and emotional well-being,” she says.

Erika found purpose and community through volunteering at the USO center on base. In the last year, she’s helped with holiday events, weekly programming and expeditionary opportunities like supporting visiting ships and other bases in the area. And she became the lead volunteer for Patriot Express flights, which transports service members and their families as they move overseas.

As service members and their families make immense sacrifices to keep us safe and free, it is our patriotic duty to support them every step of the way and ensure they don’t feel forgotten: So please, will you donate $29 or more today to show our heroes in uniform and their families that you’ve got their backs no matter what?
