My thanks to Cole Robison, Director of Information Technology Accessibility in the Kansas Information Technology Office for sharing this news.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 were published as a W3C Recommendation.  You can learn more about what's new here.

With the United State Department of Justice (DOJ) issuing their Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on website and app accessibility, this is particularly relevant.  These will probably be the guidelines that will be required by DOJ for websites for state and local governments as well as businesses and non-profits.  It would be a good idea to share these with your Information Technology team so your website will be accessible to people who use assistive technology.
