John,

On Friday, I joined the striking United Auto Workers on the picket line in Chicago.

Labor movements like UAW helped build the middle class. Now, they’re using their power to help strengthen it for generations to come—and I’m proud to stand alongside them.

These workers are making simple demands: fair wages, job security, and a safe environment to work.

Illinois has a strong history of labor movements that I promise to protect and honor. These are demands that every American worker is entitled to and that I work tirelessly to uphold in the Senate every day.

I’ve helped Democrats pass legislation that puts workers first—like the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS Act —but my conversations with the brave workers on Friday are a clear reminder that we still have work ahead of us.

I’m going to keep standing with our workers, but I hope I can count on you to stand alongside me. Please, donate what you can to help keep the Senate blue and fighting for the middle class.
