Today, Chairman Rob Axson released a statement on the Hamas invasion of Israel, plus more on recent and upcoming elections Statement on Israel, HD26 Results, and Upcoming Elections and Events Dear Supporter, First of all, we wanted to share a statement that Chairman Rob Axson released over the weekend on the Palestinian invasion of Israel. Next, we've had a number of resignations and special elections in the last few weeks. First up, we're happy to congratulate Matthew MacPherson, who was elected to House District 26 to replace Quinn Kotter. According to Matt's bio: I have been very active in the State and City politics since moving to Utah in 2004. I currently serve on the County Bylaws Committee and serve as a Precinct Chair as well as a County and State Delegate. I am also sitting on the civilian oversight committee for the West Valley City Police Department. I am heavily involved in multiple non-profit organizations and charities, though I devote my first priority to my wife and three children all raised here in Utah. I have spent my life building businesses across the State of Utah as well as across the country in Technology, in HR and Staffing, Imports and retail, even a firework company. I have found great success in what I do and while I operate in 38 states, I find Utah one of the best places to do business. I worked with and supported Quinn quite closely during his election and tenure at the capitol and I feel I would be more closely aligned with his priorities and viewpoints our constitution and the role of government than others seeking this seat. I have close working relationships already with many of our surrounding house district members and much of the party leadership. I would be honored to serve our district and represent us at the State level. The next legislative session will begin on January 16, 2024. Next, the House District 15 race is ongoing. Current House Speaker Brad Wilson has resigned after announcing his bid for U.S. Senate in 2024.
