Today, we celebrate the incredible contributions that Tribal communities
have made and will continue to make in Montana. Native Tribes across the
state face unique challenges and deserve a fighter for them in the Senate.

Jon Tester grew up down the road from Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation and,
as a member of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, he works hard to
advocate for stronger Tribal sovereignty and self-determination.

Jon works hand-in-hand with Tribal leaders, investing in Montana’s
infrastructure and improving health care services throughout the state
together. And he’s worked closely with Tribal nations to increase
investments in Tribal schools, expand jurisdiction for Tribal Law
Enforcement agencies, and combat the urgent crisis of Missing and Murdered
Indigenous Peoples (MMIP).

The work isn’t over, and Indian Country deserves a partner in the U.S.
Senate. Jon takes that responsibility seriously, and will never back down
in his fight to give Tribes across Montana a voice–today and every day.
