(WASHINGTON, DC) - Today Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) released the following statement encouraging constituents of New York's 11th Congressional District and American citizens to register with the U.S. Department of State to facilitate an evacuation:
"Our office has been through this with Afghanistan and Ukraine, and we've been successful in getting families home," Malliotakis said. "As we await further evacuation instructions from the State Department, our office is encouraging all constituents or American citizens to register with the department so our government can get a full accounting of how many Americans are on the ground and are in need of assistance. In a situation as critical as this, it's imperative for everyone to fill out this information as quickly as possible."
