OCTOBER 2023 PPC MARITIMES NEWSLETTER
French Version Here ([link removed])
Greetings to all our valued PPC members, supporters, and associates!
Thank you to everyone who made the launch of our new Maritimes Newsletter last month a great success. Over 75% of you checked out our new website ([link removed]) and PPC Boutique ([link removed]) . And, many of you renewed your memberships ([link removed]) and/or made a donation ([link removed]) . As such, we sold over $200 of merchandise and received $546 in donations.
Thank you all tremendously for your engagement, positive feedback, and generous donations. With you, we will win!
If you haven't made a donation ([link removed]) yet or haven't renewed your membership, please consider doing so to help us reach our goal of raising $10,000.
Additionally, many have asked what Maxime Bernier's position is on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Well, it’s simple. Maxime doesn't want a single penny of Canadian taxpayer's money to go to support EITHER SIDE of another foreign war that has nothing to do with us! Read Maxime's comment here. ([link removed])
Finally, during this Thanksgiving season, we pray for peace at home and in the world.

WHAT'S NEW
Holding The Government Accountable
Last year, Maxime Bernier and Brian Peckford launched a constitutional challenge against Trudeau’s discriminatory travel mandates that prevented those unvaccinated from traveling by plane, train, bus, and boat. (Click here for more details ([link removed]) )
But, just before the hearing was supposed to go forward, they received a notice from the judge that they wouldn’t be going to trial. She had sided with the government lawyers and ruled that the case was moot, that it was not relevant since Trudeau had suspended the mandates.
They were told that the use of judicial resources for a five-day hearing, when the travel mandate had been lifted, outweighed the public interest in having the case heard on the merits.
This was an absolutely unacceptable decision, and set a chilling precedent.
Our government can impose arbitrary and discriminatory mandates, violate our Charter rights, but then suspend them just before they can be challenged in court to avoid scrutiny.
This is not how our democracy is supposed to function.
The mandates weren’t even revoked; there is nothing to stop Trudeau from reimposing his discriminatory restrictions tomorrow if he thought it benefited him politically.
Obviously Maxime wasn’t going to accept this decision. He has a duty to stand up for the people. So, he immediately started working on an appeal with his legal team.
The appeal hearing is next Wednesday, October 11th, and Maxime needs your help to make sure he makes a big impact.
Register to view Maxime’s hearing by clicking this link. ([link removed])
Please register even if you can not attend. One of the reasons the judge provided when deeming this challenge moot was the lack of public interest. Therefore, Maxime needs as many registrations as possible to show that the public is indeed interested in this case.
If you have already registered previously, please do so again as the government had to set up a new registration page due to the surge of interest after Maxime’s last email about this hearing.
Let’s make this the most viewed appeal hearing of all time. Go register! ([link removed])

WHAT'S HAPPENING
The Million March for Kids ([link removed]) held on September 20th was so successful with over 1.5 million people marching throughout Canada for this cause that we are doing it again on October 21st! See details below.
We are very thankful to New Brunswick Premiere Blain Higgs for coming out to speak with us during the protest on September 20th (see photos below) and for supporting this cause. We are also thankful for everyone who joined us on September 20th as well.
So, we hope you will join us again on October 21st as we march once again for this most important cause in advocating for parental rights and the elimination of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) curriculum, pronouns, gender ideology, and mixed bathrooms in schools, as well as, gender-affirming care. and medical interventions or gender mutilation of minors less than 16 years old.
Read our news blog article titled, Leave Our Kids Alone! ([link removed]) for more details about this important event and about how a PPC government will make legal changes to protect children from the harmful consequences of this radical gender ideology. We hope to see you on October 21st!

FUNDRAISING GOAL
Please Help Northeastern NB Regional PPC Association Raise $10,000 to be better prepared for the coming elections in defeating Trudeau’s Imperial government. Advertising of all sorts (radio, newspaper, Internet, signs, etc.) is expensive and numerous other aspects of election campaigning require money too. As such, please give generously as we cannot win this fight without you.
And, if you are unable to give, please consider volunteering with us ([link removed]) and/or working the phones in November for our fundraising Telethon. Also, have a look at the donation page ([link removed]) on our website for the many other ways you can give or volunteer.
Additionally, membership ([link removed]) fees also get added to our "War Chest" therefore, please buy a membership or renew your membership. Plus, see our new PPC NB Boutique ([link removed]) and get yourself some PPC swag and other merchandise, which also helps us with our fundraising.
Thank you immensely, Together we will win!
