Once in a while, it’s important to zoom out from the day-to-day chaos and absurdity in Washington to remember what’s really at stake next November.

That’s why I’ve jotted down five good reasons why your contributions – financial and otherwise – really do matter at this critical point for our country.

No matter which cynical, morally-bankrupt MAGA lackey ends up at the top of the GOP ticket next year, we should be preparing for record-shattering Republican turnout across the country. Now is the time to invest in voter outreach and grassroots mobilization, build a winning coalition of Democrats and swing voters, and get folks to the polls on Election Day.

POLITICO reports that Republicans are showing unprecedented fundraising strength, while Democrats’ fundraising has declined – a complete reversal from recent years. The GOP already has enough ill-gotten advantages, from gerrymandered districts to coordinated disinformation – we need to make sure they don’t get the financial edge, too.

The future of abortion rights entirely depends on the outcome of this election: Republicans have proudly announced they will end the right to choose in this country the moment they have the votes. We need to believe them – and take drastic and urgent action to stop this extremist nightmare from ever becoming reality.

After decades of right-wing crusades against unions and working people, workers across the nation are now taking collective action to fight for fair treatment and living wages. But if we hand a victory to the GOP next November, they'll attack the right to organize, empower corporations to act with impunity, and make it even more difficult for working families to make ends meet.

We can be certain that Republicans will be able to rely on the deep pockets of the shadowy, right-wing organizations that bankroll their campaigns. But I’ll take the support of thousands of small-dollar grassroots donors over one, ultra-wealthy MAGA puppeteer pulling all my strings any day. Your committed, loyal, and generous support is what sets this campaign apart.
