Welcome to the Special Olympics team!

If there's one thing you should know about us, it's this: Special Olympics athletes are unstoppable. Every day, they take on new challenges, gain new confidence, and open others' hearts and minds to people with intellectual disabilities.

The Special Olympics mission remains as vital today as it was when Eunice Kennedy Shriver founded our organization in 1968. We've reached millions of athletes worldwide, but there are as many as 200 million people with intellectual disabilities around the world.

We want to reach out to every one of them -- and their families and communities. Your gift/Joining the team is an INCREDIBLE step in the right direction!

And if you're new to Special Olympics, you might not know that we do more than sports (though sports are super important!). We also help athletes get important health screenings -- and lead a global movement for inclusion. We're excited to share more about all of this work in the weeks and months ahead!
