John,
In 2020, my Republican opponent voted to allow companies to put toxic PFAS chemicals into our drinking water. It’s no wonder so many corporate polluters are major donors to her campaign. It’s clear whose interests she prioritizes.
These so-called “Forever Chemicals” can take up to 1,000 years to break down in nature. They have been linked to a variety of health effects, including:
- Liver or kidney cancer
- Heart disease
- Infertility
- Higher risk pregnancies and lower infant birth weights
- Decreased vaccine response in children
But the EPA and CDC don’t yet know the full scope of risk to people repeatedly exposed to PFAS.
Meanwhile, I voted to crack down on PFAS chemicals and the companies who contaminate our water. I am proud to be the only candidate in this race that has been endorsed by conservation organizations for my commitment to sustainability:
* A from the Sierra Club
* 100% from the Virginia League of Conservation Voters
* Endorsed by the Natrual Resources Defence Council Fund
My opponent’s choices may have left us with “forever” chemicals, but she doesn’t have to be our “forever” senator. If you prioritize the environment as I do, please chip in $25 today to support our effort to replace her.
