John,
Elon Musk = $270 billion
Jeff Bezos = $163 billion
Larry Ellison = $145.5 billion
That’s how much the three richest people in America are worth.
According to Americans for Tax Fairness research, America’s 748 billionaires have collectively seen their wealth grow by $2.2 trillion―or 77%―over the last nearly 6 years.[1] And they are now collectively worth more money than the bottom half of U.S. society―165 million people.
The solution to this growing concentration of wealth is a billionaire income tax, which would ensure that the very wealthiest households are paying federal income taxes each year on their wealth gains, just like working people pay on their wages.
We’re building support in Congress and across the country for a billionaire income tax. Donate today to fight for a tax system that holds the ultra-wealthy accountable.

Republicans piled up debt by passing their 2017 tax scam. They are now trying to use that debt, created by tax handouts to the ultra-wealthy, to demand cuts to critical services for working people.
We know the solution is not cuts to housing, nutrition, and healthcare. It’s making millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share of taxes.
Thank you for your vital contributions to our movement to hold the rich and corporations accountable so we can invest in a future that includes all of us, not just the wealthy few.

[1] BILLIONAIRES ARE $2.2 TRILLION RICHER SINCE 2017 TRUMP-GOP TAX LAW
-- David's email --
John,
In our latest report on billionaire wealth, ATF research has found that not only did America’s 748 billionaires get $2.2 trillion richer in the last nearly 6 years, but they now own more wealth than the bottom half of U.S. society―165 million people![1]
Republican tax laws have failed working families―moving even more money into the pockets of the ultra-wealthy. That’s why, instead of more tax cuts for the rich and corporations, we need a billionaire income tax like the ones proposed by President Biden and Senate Finance Chairman Ron Wyden so that the wealthiest people in America are paying federal income taxes each year on their wealth gains, just like working people pay on their wages.
Fight back against GOP trickle-down tax laws that harm working people. Donate today to build support in Congress and across the country for a billionaire income tax!
This 77% spike in billionaire wealth is thanks in large part to the 2017 Trump-GOP tax scam, which was heavily slanted to the wealthy. And billionaires are using these wealth gains to influence our elections.
We recently learned that GOP mega donor and co-founder of Oracle, Larry Ellison, is gearing up to spend millions of dollars supporting his presidential candidate of choice.[2]
And, according to Americans for Tax Fairness research, billionaires pumped over $1 billion into the 2022 elections, largely to elect far-right candidates who support their world view of minimal taxes on the rich, and minimal rights for everyone else.[3] This outpouring of billionaire largesse was nearly 75% higher than the previous midterm campaign and 300 times more than billionaires spent just prior to when the disastrous Citizens United Supreme Court decision in 2010 opened the floodgates to unlimited spending in our elections.
The way we start to hold the ultra-rich accountable is by taxing the wealth gains of millionaires and billionaires. Donate today to build support for a billionaire income tax.
