“Suckers” and “losers.”

That’s what Trump had to say about our service members, veterans, and fallen troops – confirmed by his former Chief of Staff and General, John Kelly.

Every American has a right to be outraged by the blatant disrespect Trump has shown for our military. These insults are personal to me, and I’ll tell you why.

But first, will you sign this petition in support of our fallen service members and help me continue to advocate for our military veterans?

Team, I’m the proud son of a Navy Quartermaster who served our country in World War II. My father returned from combat to a nation eager and ready to help our veterans. He attended college on the GI Bill.

Unfortunately, these deserved benefits are no longer available. Congress has fallen short in funding veteran programs, while people like Donald Trump disparage them.

In Congress, I’ve fought tooth and nail to support our veterans. My FASTER Presumptions Act was a key part of the PACT Act, which provided care for veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances while serving.

As Senator, I will continue to be a champion for those who stand on the frontlines in defense of our country.
