Why Virginia's state elections in 2023 could have national implications in November 2024

There’s an old saying in American politics: “As Virginia goes, so goes the nation.” 

With our state legislative elections coming up in just a few weeks, pundits and political players from across the U.S. are turning to Virginia to see which way our nation is headed in 2023, 2024, and beyond. 

Here’s why: In November, every single senator and delegate from our Virginia state legislature is up for reelection -- the first time in four years that every seat is on the ballot. 

With the eyes of the nation on Virginia, Republicans are doing everything in their power to secure a win for their extreme agenda in a bellwether state -- and show that VA is up for grabs for the GOP in 2024.
