Dear John,
We invite you to join us on Wednesday, October 18th for WE ACT’s 35th Anniversary Gala at Columbia University’s Alfred Lerner Hall, from 6:00pm-9:00pm. A celebration of our continuing work for a more just, equitable, and greener future, WE ACT’s Gala also honors environmental justice heroes from across the country.
This year, we are delighted to honor Josh Klainberg, Senior Vice President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, champion of environmental health and long-time devotee to public and community service. Over the years, Josh has played a critical role in campaigns at all levels of the government including ballot initiatives, bond acts, lobbying efforts, and independent expenditure campaigns.

Most recently, Josh has focused on chemical policy reform in New York State, specifically efforts to eliminate toxic chemicals from children’s products, reduce lead in public school drinking water, and remove lead service lines. This year, he worked with WE ACT and other advocates to develop a Lead Service Line mapping tool to identify lead service lines bringing water to residents in New York. Josh’s work as a policy leader and advocate has revolutionized the environmental justice landscape in New York State and beyond.
We are so proud to honor him at our 35th Anniversary Gala. We hope that you will support Josh Klainberg and our mission by joining us this October! You can purchase your tickets here.
Please join us in celebrating with friends and longtime partners who’ve helped us achieve so much.
