| Dear John,
You know it.
Gas prices have increased significantly under President Biden.
On January 21, 2021, the average price of a regular gallon of gas was $2.38.
But by June 14, 2022, the average price of regular unleaded gas was $5 per gallon!
While that price declined eventually in the winter, since June, gas prices have resumed increasing.
I checked the national averages—to $3.76 per gallon on July 31, 2023, and to $3.86 per gallon on September 14, 2023!
Why?
Biden’s policies.
Bidenomics causes gas prices to go up.
His administration has halted new oil and gas leases on federal lands, suspended leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and New Mexico, reversed Trump administration reforms to oil and gas rules, signed legislation reinstating a 28-year-old tax on crude oil imports and domestic production, delayed or revoked natural gas pipeline permits, and MUCH more.
Instead, here at Americans for Prosperity we promote a bottom-up approach to energy as a key driver of economic opportunity and prosperity.
Will you join us and call on your senators to prioritize meaningful reforms that lower Americans' energy costs?
If you’re fired up to take action right now, join me to tell your senator to support the bipartisan H.R. 1, The Lower Energy Costs Act |
