It was a disappointing week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values.
Under Speaker McCarthy's leadership, we made significant strides in forcing spending cuts and advancing conservative priorities. It's disheartening to see this progress halted, but Republicans must look to the future. Our next Speaker should be a proven conservative who can carry on the work of holding this failed administration accountable while pushing for fiscal responsibility. I look forward to rallying behind a qualified candidate and continuing the fight against Biden’s reckless agenda.
Recently, I introduced the Protecting Rural Seniors Access to Care Act, H.R. 5796, and I'm excited about the enthusiasm and support it's been receiving, especially within the long-term care sector. They are facing a workforce crisis, which has hit rural providers particularly hard. It's great to see the Minnesota Hospital Association and a bipartisan group in the Senate joining our cause and expressing the same concerns we have about the proposed staffing threshold. With growing momentum, we can make a difference for our rural seniors and the entire long-term care community.
It's that time of year again, and our Minnesota Wild are set to hit the ice next Thursday, marking the beginning of a new season with a showdown against Florida. My team and I look forward to enjoying the season ahead.
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support!
With gratitude,
