Holiday Stockings for Heroes is well on its way to reaching this year's goal of collecting 40,000 stuffed holiday stockings for Service Members and Veterans! But we need to keep the momentum going!! If you haven't pledged your stockings yet, be sure to click through or scan the QR code above and make your pledge now! But, we know that pledging an entire stocking can be tough with busy holiday schedules! That's why this year, we've rolled out an additional way you can support this popular campaign: shop our Amazon gift registry for needed items! We want to ensure each and every stocking is filled to the brim before they ship out to our heroes! Typically, if a stocking isn't stuffed to the max when we receive it, we'll add Halloween candy from Treats for Troops. But, we also want to ensure our Service Members and Veterans, especially those deployed, are getting more of what they want and not just some extra candy. New this year you can shop our Amazon gift registry and help us collect the most wanted items to use as backfill to make sure each and every stocking is stuffed to the max! Not interested in shopping? Donations to help cover the cost of shipping the stockings are always welcome too! Handmade Warmth for Our Nation's HeroesWe are constantly in awe of the amazing talent our Angels volunteers use to show their gratitude for our Nation's heroes. Over the years, we have seen some stunning donations of handmade items! From quilts to crocheted hats and blankets, these creations are truly breathtaking. Recently, Angel Alyssa dropped off the beautiful handmade patriotic quilts pictured above. Angel Debra shows her talent with incredible crocheted baby blankets for expectant military families (right). For many years, Angel Ann has churned out an outstanding number of impactful crocheted American flag blankets that have become a cherished gift for many Service Members and Veterans (below). These are just a few examples of the many, many talented Angels that we have on our team and we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of them! We have heard time and time again the impact that a blanket can have--especially handmade blankets. It is a display of love, support, warmth, and so much more for Service Members and Veterans. We want to thank each and every one of our volunteers for their time and dedication. It is through their hard work and dedication that we can make sure our Nation's Heroes stay warm, comfortable, remembered, and supported. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful people on board contributing and supporting this cause. If you are an Angel and have photos of your blankets OR if you are the recipient of a handmade blanket from Soldiers' Angels, we would love to hear your stories and see your photos!
