Hi John,
Jane Fonda here.
Today, the Jane Fonda Climate PAC is endorsing Dr. Joy Banner for St. John the Baptist Parish Council in Louisiana’s upcoming October 14 Primary!
I started the Jane Fonda Climate PAC last year because I knew that no matter how dire the climate crisis becomes, the solutions we need will continue to be blocked time after time unless we elect leaders who are willing to stand up to corporate polluters and finally say enough is enough. In other words, I started my PAC to support candidates exactly like Joy Banner.
Will you join me in making a contribution today to support her campaign and my PAC? Together, we can not only elect Joy, but hundreds of other climate champions at every level of government.

Dr. Banner is a lifelong resident of St. John the Baptist Parish, so she has experienced more than her fair share of dangerous storms, hurricanes, and droughts due to our changing climate.
What’s more, the impact of the deadly practices of corporate polluters is not limited to dangerous weather events like floods and fires. The pollution from these big energy producers is now known to have lasting and severe impacts on the health of individuals, communities, and the general public.
While the problem at hand is real and severe, I think we have great cause for hope because we have a candidate like Joy Banner in the race. Joy has demonstrated an unrivaled commitment to protecting her community from this harm and seeking justice for those who have been affected.
Joy believes in building an economy for the people, by the people. This means no more deference to corporate interests. This means pushing for better housing, effective transport connectivity, and above all, a livable future for every community.
We need leaders who are ready to confront big polluters, ensure a safe environment for our communities, and spearhead a transition to renewable energy. I hope you will join me and my team in supporting Joy for Parish Council today.
